This is a brand new system for SWTOR and it becomes part of the game starting with the launch of Update 6.2. I don’t play mobile games, so I wouldn’t know. I have not played enough old MMO games to know where BioWare took this feature from, but it sounds like a great idea, doesn’t it? Actually… many of you have told me in the past month or so since it came up on PTS that this is a popular Mobile Games tactic. I am only hoping that this wont come with a high price tag and lag involved (like in the second boss fight in The Blood Hunt Flashpoint). The crappy old engine of this game still has a few secrets undiscovered, it seems.
Earlier, in late October, BioWare added a new Cartetl Market shipment all inspired by the Mandalorian show with the release of 6.1.4.įrom the PTS tests I was able to do I have to admit that I was amazed to see the new hights BioWare dev team managed to reach with the design of the Flashpoint. SWTOR is doing its best to take as much of an advantage of the success of this show as they can for a second year in a row.

Disney’s own The Mandalorian tv show is under way and its second season is streaming right now with incredibly positive reviews coming after each episode! I am not surprised at all that BioWare is releasing Mandalorian related content in December.

When Kira nd Scourge came after Onslaught to tell us about the danger that looms over Vitiate’s legacy and what he may have left behind, I got excited.īut I still find it weird that the teaser trailer is all about Valkorion and Vitiate and we were supposed to be done with them for good. BioWare told us several times in the past few years that Vitiate is gone and will not return. Since almost everyone was working from home during that time and all recording studios were closed, BioWare was unable to record the required voice-overs for this update and it was pushed and pushed until in late Summer the devs finally confirmed 6.2 to be targeting a release in the very late Fall, which not turned out to be December 9th.Ī few personal thoughts, if you allow me. So many other major game title releases and updates or expansions to existing games have been rescheduled to make way for the number one contender for the price Game of the Year.īioWare did not! They are bravely going against Cyberpunk 2077 as Update 6.2 should be ready for download after a brief maintenance on December 9th. It is weird that BioWare decided to bravely go against the biggest release of this year – CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 Role-Playing Game. The same goes for the BioWare developer team that works on SWTOR. Not that we had a great year in SWTOR when it comes to new content, anyway.Ģ020 will be remembered as an year of great struggle for every one of us, no matter where we live, what we work.

The patch is BioWare’s biggest one for the year. SWTOR Game Update 6.2, called “Echoes of Vengeance” releases on December 9th 2020.
